Yiannis Kokkinogenis, also known as Captain Yianni, was born and brought up in Lindos, Rhodes. As a young boy, Yiannis spent time at sea with his father Stefanos who was a fisherman. It was then he learnt to love and respect the Aegean.

After many years of running a pool bar and supermarket, he decided it was time he enjoyed a career in the place he loved. He completed his speed boat training, got his licence and bought a small speedboat boat so that he could offer guided trips to Lindos. Since then he has bought two more boats and can take up to 7 people in the medium sized boat and 12 people in his large boat for his legendary trips to Lindos.

The smaller boat is available to rent. With a lifetime of experience, there is nothing Yiannis doesn’t know about the Lindian coastline. Yiannis is married to Diane (Dionysia) and has three children; Raphael, Tassos and Stefanos, all of whom will often be found helping out at the beach!
